Sometimes when it’s so bad, its faintly amusing.. But this is so bad, its embarrassing.

I think I would’ve preferred a rug warehouse-esque style of ad to that one. At least the yelling would have distracted me from the celebrities used in this ad and their awesome acting.

For whatever reason- I just watched this again- and I cant for the life of me work out what on earth they’re selling or talking about?
I think its a mixture of the atrocious audio quality and the fact it sounds like they’ve all god a mouth of marbles when attempting to talk.

I’ve watched it twice and can’t work out why I like it. But I do. I know it’s incredibly lame. But it’s lame enough to like.
And Art – it’s pretty clear to me. It’s a competition where if you keep your New Year’s Reso they will give you $5k.

I left a comment on the youtube video itself which read “Sweet jeebus guys, “production values” doesn’t have to mean “spend big”. This is just embarrassingly badly made in absolutely every technical and artistic aspect, and is a detriment to your brand. Also, misrepresenting the video by using inappropriate and non related tags, NOT cool… Please, PLEASE, talk to someone who UNDERSTANDS how to make social media type comps and campaigns that work without making you look like half-assed hacks, and dodgy charlatans before you try this again.”
In reply I got “..if I wanted the POV of an overweight nerd that hides his 3rd chin with a mouldy beard….I WOULD ASK FOR IT…just because your can afford a proper cam with good lighting (no doubt due to lack of a HUMAN girlfriend to spend money on) shouldnt have you crying about production values and false tags.

I thought they were just offering an online calculator that could calculate how much money you’d save if you stuck to your new year’s res. and didn’t drink, or smoke, i.e. put in how much money a week you spent on it and you could save $___. If they’ve got $5,000 to give away, you’d think they’d have money to pay for some better production, or at least some training in anger management (judging by their youtube video response).

This is pretty bad SM on the part of both Mozo, judging by their reaction in the comments of the original video:
“That said, no one likes a brand trying to mediate the voice of the people. So from Mozo, to nijatk, Blunty et al – go hell for leather!”
Not sure which company it is, but they use a useful rule for comment moderation: the good, the bad but never the ugly, something that should have been used in this instance.
There is also the case of the original offender, nijatk. A simple Google search pulled up his Twitter account, http://twitter.com/NijatK and low and behold – he is following the company..wierd? I think not.
I hope Mozo clear this up, it’s not going to damage the company too much as its only within social media circles and hasn’t reached the wider public…yet.
