Idle Hour Vodka lands 3-year partnership with the Australian Grand Prix Corp

Australian-owned spirit brand, Idle Hour Vodka, has been named as the official vodka partner of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The three-year deal will see Idle Hour provide its ready-to-drink vodka sodas range, inspired by flavours of the Australian bush, across all bars at the Formula 1 Heineken Australian Grand Prix 2022, in addition to a list of exclusive cocktails created by Melbourne’s leading bartenders at its own Idle Hour bar in event’s culture district, M-Lane.

The cocktails, born out of a challenge to Melbourne’s leading bartenders, sees the Aussie brand create a highball cocktail range that showcases the finest Melbourne has to offer.

From the minds behind Melbourne’s Neptune and New Gold Mountain bar in the CBD, comes the Lift and Coast and Rumblestrip. Both highball cocktails that speak to the crisp blue-bird days of Melbourne in spring and autumn, with a beating flavour reminiscent of the excitement many experience when they discover a hidden drinking well.

Sitting next to them are the stronger Grain Chicane and Tankslaper, inspired by the city’s Madame Brussels and Lover Bar. These combine the hidden flavours of Melbourne’s CBD, with the amped-up attitudes of the Chapel Street precinct.

The cocktail menu will be available exclusively at Idle Hour’s premier bar at the Formula 1 Heineken Australian Grand Prix 2022, from 7 to 10 April.

Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO, Andrew Westacott said: “We’re thrilled to partner with an Australian brand that is reinventing the vodka category in a truly Aussie way. Idle Hour’s flavours and cocktails are the perfect blend of sophistication and experimentation that fans will love.”
