Ignite Media Brands enter employee consultation process ahead of redundancies

Ignite Media logo, MumbrellaIgnite Media Brands has commenced an employee consultation process which is expected to lead to redundancies following the loss of Fox International Channels to rival MCN.

The company said in a statement: “The objectives of this process are to implement structural changes that best position Ignite to service its roster of clients in 2014.”

Ignite was unable to provide details on the number of redundancies until the consultation process was completed.

Yesterday the company said it was in the process of process of reviewing its businesses following the loss of Fox International Channels to rival MCN.

The statement from Ignite Media Brands:

“Ignite Media Brands has commenced an employee consultation process which will lead to redundancies within the organisation.  The objectives of this process are to implement structural changes that best position Ignite to service its roster of clients in 2014.

Ignite Media Brands continues to represent Viacom International Media Networks, Sound Alliance, SBS Subscription TV and CNBC.”

The loss of Fox International Channels, including National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Adventure and FX, to MCN followed an announcement earlier in the year that Ignite clients channels TV1 and SF would cease broadcasts at the end of the year.
