Ikea opens up the homes of Osher Gunsberg, Angie Kent and Shelley Craft
Ikea is turning Australian homes, including those of Osher Gunsberg, Angie Kent and Shelley Craft, into digital showrooms, encouraging people to explore home decorating and their personal style while they isolate.
The announcement:
IKEA Australia has today announced it will be launching Australia’s biggest Virtual Open Home, turning Aussie homes into digital showrooms. Featuring homes from some of Australia’s familiar faces including Shelley Craft, Osher Günsberg, and Angie Kent, the tours will provide a behind the scenes look at their lives at home.
On Saturday 16th May and Sunday 17th May, the virtual home weekend will feature 9 homes across the country. Australians will have the opportunity to tune into IKEA Australia social channels and watch virtual tours of Australian homes. Following the home tours, some homeowners will open to an audience Q&A where Australians can engage in and ask their questions.
In a time when the home has never been more important, IKEA is showcasing how the home is a reflection of ourselves, including our needs, wants, dreams and frustrations.
Across the weekend, Australians will be able to get insight into how different personalities are reflected in people’s home through their style, in addition to some of the unique ways IKEA has been brought into homes across the country.
“I’m excited to invite Australians into my home and share what my space means to me and how I live my everyday life. Everyone’s home has a different and special meaning and I can’t wait to share some of my favourite things about mine”, Angie Kent said.
