Ikon builds full service offer with new head of content

Ikon Group has created the role of head of content for the first time as it builds its full service offer, luring Maria Casas from Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney to fill the position.


The move is part of Ikon’s plans to strengthen its leadership and content model in reaction to growing demands from clients.

Casas worked as head of social for more than three years at Saatchi & Saatchi, focusing on digital and social strategy.

Natalie Musico, Ikon’s chief of integrated services, said Casas’ role will involve balancing strategic, creative and commercial requirements to drive content.

“Maria’s skillset is another crucial investment  by the Ikon Sydney Group since moving to our full service model,” Musico said.

“It’s a reflection of the growing success of the offering and the faith our clients have in the quality and effectiveness of the strategy, creative and content services we provide.”

Casas said she was attracted to the agency’s “forward-thinking business ethic” and its “nurturing culture.”
