I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here pulls 1.056m for finale

Ten’s finale of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! saw 1.056m metro viewers tune in as Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan was crowned queen of the jungle, while Nine’s Married at First Sight topped the ratings ladder.

Up against Dane Swan and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Donovan’s win was slightly down on last year’s finale which pulled 1.1m viewers as football superstar Brendan Fevola was crowed king of the jungle, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Airing at 7:30pm the finale was the second most watched program for the evening although according to Ten the winner announcement ran nine minutes over time last night pulling 1.1m metro viewers.

The debut of the season averaged 1.103m viewers at the start of this year, pulling slightly more than the final episode.

Also airing in the competitive 7:30pm time slot was Nine’s blind wedding show Married at First Sight which still managed to hold the top spot averaging 1.060m viewers.

Seven’s rival reality cooking show was third in the competitive time slot for the first time this season managing 968,000 viewers, losing traction from last week’s 1.047m.

In overall audience share for the evening Nine won the evening with 21.9% ahead of Seven’s 21.4%, Ten’s 15.3%, ABC’s 12.2% and SBS’ 3.8%.

The 6:00pm news battle saw Seven News managed 1.021m ahead of Nine News’ 998,000. At 6:30pm Nine News averaged 1.035m in front of Seven News’ 982,000.

In the 9:00pm time slot Seven’s controversial wedding show Bride & Prejudice managed 708,000 while Nine’s House Husbands pulled 599,000 and Ten’s Whose Line is it anyway pulled 545,000.

For ABC Four Corner’s managed 566,000 at 8:30pm while Media Watch averaged 612,000 straight after.
