I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here tops ratings, but Seven wins the night

Ten’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here topped Thursday night’s ratings in the absence of My Kitchen Rules, however Seven still managed to win the night.


The reality TV show managed to pull an average audience of 823,000, making it the most-watched non-news program for the evening and topping the key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Seven’s back to back episodes of Home and Away – airing at 7pm and running through I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here – managed 712,000 ahead of Nine’s RBT which averaged 603,000.

A Current Affair which aired at 7pm on Nine saw 682,000 viewers tune in, ahead of ABC’s current affairs program 7.30 which averaged 611,000.

The 6pm news battle was won by Seven News with 939,000 tuning in, making it the most-watched program for the evening, ahead of Nine News’ 835,000. At 6.30pm Seven pulled 887,000 while Nine managed 806,000.

In overall audience share Seven managed 18.3%, slightly in front of Nine’s 17.6%, Ten’s 16.5% and ABC’s 12.4%.
