MacDougall said: “I’m really excited to be part of Match & Wood. I’ve watched them grow into one of the best and most successful independent media agencies in Australia. The thing that excites me the most are the fresh ideas and great culture that is immediately present all the way through the business.”

MacDougall’s most recent role was paid media director at IPG Mediabrands APAC, where he departs after five years.

“I can’t wait to work across the diverse client base and further develop their performance product,” added MacDougall.

Match & Wood chief operating officer, Chris O’Keefe, said: “We’re so excited to have such an accomplished digital specialist join our national team. Having worked with Stuart in the past I know that he will bring a unique perspective and strategic, data-fuelled decision making to our clients’ businesses.”

In his most recent role at IPG Mediabrands, MacDougall worked across key accounts such as Officeworks, Kmart and RAC. Prior to this he led paid search for Reprise Perth, and also worked as a search specialist at Mediacom in Sydney.

Match & Wood have also recently added media planner/buyer Jodie Allen to its communications team, with Keleigh Moore also appointed as communications manager from OMD and Tiffany Doan joining as digital communications manager from Nunn Media.

The hires follow Match & Wood’s recent client wins, including Curtin University last month, Pentanet and Intelicare. Other clients include COSBOA (Council of Small Business Organisations Australia), Woodside, HIF Australia, Summit Homes Group, Synergy and UrbnSurf.

Mumbrella contacted IPG Mediabrands regarding MacDougall’s replacement, however had no response at the time of publishing.
