Independent youth radio station Starter FM launches in Sydney
A group of young Sydney-siders have come together to launch a new independent radio station – Starter FM.
The announcement:
Dance music has made a return to Western Sydney, with a new and independent youth radio station, “Starter Free Media” (Starter FM).
Founded by a passionate team of young people keen to see dance music back on the airwaves of Sydney Radio.
Starter FM’s focus is on the various genres of Dance, Top 40 and Urban as well providing a platform for Western Sydney and local Australian talent to have their music played.
Some of the shows that Starter FM air are, BRL (An Australia’s Hip Hop show, covering Australian Hip Hop from all angles) airing at 7pm Thursdays and The Hype (A showcase of the freshest Hip Hop and Club tracks with some of the biggest names in Australia) airing 7pm Saturday Nights.
Starter FM is looking for supporters via Patreon (patreon.com/starterfm) and gofundme (gofundme.com/f/starter-fm-western-sydney-youth-radio-startup) to help with getting on FM (Narrowcast) or DAB+ in Sydney.
