Industry raises $160,000 for bushfire relief at UnLtd Big Clash cricket matches
Teams of media owners, media agencies, creative agencies and tech companies have battled it out on the cricket pitch in a bid to raise money for the industry’s social purpose organisation, UnLtd.
In Sydney, as part of the ‘Ladyballers’ competition, Tech took home the overall win, while the male competition was taken out by the Creative team. And in Melbourne, Media Owners were victorious across both competitions.
Bonnie Lethlean and Michael Prendergast were crowned Player of the Day in Melbourne, and Isabelle Barrera and Imran Masood were awarded in Sydney.
Overall, 100 companies from the media, marketing, tech and creative industries supported the event, with major sponsorship from ACM, JC Decaux and Seven West Media.
Mumbrella donated tickets to Mumbrella360 as well as other auction items to help raise further funds. In total, the auction raised over $25,000.
This year, the money will go towards children impacted by the bushfires.
UnLtd CEO Chris Freel said the event demonstrates the difference the industry can make when it comes together.
“It’s fantastic to see the event grow every year, and we loved seeing the extra Ladyballers on the field this year,” he said. “Thank you to our sponsors, supporters and everyone who played, donated auction items and came along to cheer their teams to victory.”
Freel also said he was looking forward to the event’s launch in Perth next month.
Congratulations to UnLtd and all those that contributed.
What a fantastic track record for UnLtd and the industry.
