Influencer agency The Remarkables Group acquired by Hoozu

Influencer agency The Remarkables Group has been acquired by influencer and content agency Hoozu.

Natalie Giddings, who was managing director at The Remarkables, will become CEO at Hoozu, while Hoozu’s previous CEO Nathan Ruff will move into the role of chief operating officer.

The Remarkables brand will disappear with Hoozu becoming the sole brand.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ruff said: “Both our agencies have always understood that to stand still in this space means you get left behind.

“This is a client-driven transaction as they look for agencies that have an inherent understanding of brands along with technology and how to get the best return of investment on campaigns.”

Giddings added: “Both of us have seen significant growth in our businesses in recent years. Yet the needs of our clients are changing. Marketers need influencer experts and an agency with capabilities and depth in digital, data and technology to drive growth for their brands.

“Hoozu will very much be about offering brands innovation in influencer marketing.”

Hoozu’s clients include HelloFresh, Ola Cabs, Koh, Universal Pictures and 2k Games.

Hoozu will operate out of offices in Sydney and Melbourne.

Back in January 2018, founder of The Remarkables Group Lorraine Murphy left to focus on her speaking, writing and training career with Giddings becoming the sole owner of the company.
