Initiative’s René Migliore appointed as Mediahub Perth GM of media

Initiative’s communications planning director René Migliore has joined 303 MullenLowe’s Mediahub as its general manager of media for the Perth operation.

Prior to his time at Initiative, Miligore spent six years with the agency that was then known as 303Lowe as group business director and head of business management.

Migliore will start his new role on November 22

In May, 303 MullenLowe brought the group’s global media agency, MullenLowe Mediahub in-house to work on improving its full-service offering, with chief media officer Livingston taking charge.

At the time 303 MullenLowe CEO Nick Cleaver said that the decision to combine operations with Mediahub was the next logical step as the agency grew.

“Bringing the MullenLowe Group’s media resources together represents the next natural step in our journey, enabling a bigger media footprint, a wider set of clients and enhanced access to a global network of media resources and talent.”

Miligore said he was already enjoying the switch from creative to media.

“I’ve spent most of my career working in creative agencies in client service and strategy before making the switch to media two years ago, which I’m finding really exciting and creative,” he said in a statement.

Livingston, who was appointed as chief media officer of 303 MullenLowe and Mediahub in December last year, said: “René brings a wealth of experience to Mediahub and will play a large part in our plans as we continue to grow our offering both digitally and strategically. Having recently won ECU’s digital business, we’re hiring experienced thinkers like René to enhance the performance of every idea we execute right through from the creative idea to performance optimisation and everything in-between.”

Last month, Sydney’s Mediahub appointed Tom Rankin as its GM of media.

In July, Sasha Neame took on the role of digital media director for Mediahub’s Perth office.

Mediahub’s clients include TK Maxx, Harley-Davidson, Fujitsu Australia, Edith Cowen University, Braintree and Laser Clinics Australia.

In March, 303 MullenLowe lost its managing partner of media, Alice Manners, two days after the agency resigned the Cash Converters creative account.

Manners is now the chief of digital marketing and product at Cash Converters.
