Insight Exchange: We’re going to shake up the events market

Australia’s crowded media events industry has seen the arrival of one more player, with the launch today of The Insight Exchange.  

beth-etlingross-dawsonBeth Etling – the former content director of the Adtech conference – is CEO of The Insight Exchange, while the chairman is Ross Dawson, organiser of the annual Future of Media summit.

Under The Insight Exchange, the Future of Media Summit will become the Future of Influence Summit, with the first one to take place in September.

Etling told Mumbrella: “I don’t think there are obvious big gaps in the market per se, but at the moment things are very format driven, and it’s very ‘same old, same old’. With The Insight Exchange, we’re looking to transform events into an experience that is much more engaging.”

As well as the Future of Influence summit, the company will also be running the Insight Exchange series of lunchtime meetings. The first one will be on May 19.

Dawson, who is also chairman of thinktank Future Exploration Network, said: “The events industry is ripe for massive change. The old conference model is rapidly dying, making way for new models of learning, interacting and creating value. Now is the best possible time to launch a company that will transform the events industry.”
