Instagram launches first festival in Australia for the creator & industry community

Instagram Australia is bringing together key members of the Australian and New Zealand creator community for its first-ever virtual festival – Instagram Next.

Featuring workshops and panels, Instagram Next will feature a lineup of top creators from Australia and New Zealand, such as Abbie Chatfield, Martha Kalifatidis, The Inspired Unemployed, Brown Cardigan, Rowi Singh and many more.

The lineup will also see Instagram leaders, including Eva Chen, Instagram’s head of fashion partnerships, along with industry leaders, including Jules Lund, founder of Tribe, take part to share their insider experience and tips with creators.

Running across Thursday 18 and Friday 19 November, the two-day event will be curated to help creators uncover their full potential in the creative space and as entrepreneurs.

The festival will cover topics including, building resilience and handling social media burnout, designing for discovery, from getting gifted to getting paid, and the anatomy of trends on Instagram.

While the festival is invite-only for the creator community and industry, content, select sessions and behind-the-scenes content from the two days will be shared on Instagram Australia’s new dedicated account for local creators @instagramNextaus.

Instagram Australia strategic partnership manager, Zaac D’Almeida, said: “Creators are a vibrant and vital part of social platforms, and this growing community will help design the future of our digital world. We want to find new ways to support creators in growing their audience, making a living across our platforms and taking the next step in their careers. Instagram Next will be an unprecedented opportunity to hear from Australia’s top creators, the industry that supports them, and leaders across Facebook and Instagram.

“This is not just an opportunity to hear about new tools and products we’re building for creators, it’s two days of skills and training on everything from managing your money as a creator to maintaining your wellbeing. We’re committed to the creator community across our family of apps and Instagram Next is designed to do just that.”

Instagram is part of recently re-branded Meta, formerly known as Facebook Inc.
