Do not feed the journalists: InStyle staff behind perspex in shopping centre
Staff from PacMags’ title InStyle are to work from a perspex pod in a shopping centre as part of a fortnight of events designed to bring the magazine closer to the public.
Mumbrella can reveal from 12 October, 25 separate events will take place at Westfield Bondi Junction, including workshops, new season previews, live fashion shoots, model castings, runway shows and celebrity shoots.
And members of the InStyle editorial team will take it in turns to work from the site with the intention of giving consumers a behind-the-scenes insight into the workings of a women’s title.
The move follows a similar stunt by the UK edition of Grazia last November where the entire team moved to Westfield London for a week.
The move is part of ongoing efforts by PacMags and rival publisher ACP to connect with the public. ACP’s 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty is currently underway.
I thought there was a union to stop journalists being treated like monkeys.

Hey fellas,
It was a stupid idea in London and it didn’t succeed in anything apart from making the Grazia staff look like idiots.
Expect more of the same….

Its amusing to watch the magazines doing all these events and stunts as a means to save themselves from inevitable media obscurity and constantly falling readerships
