Intender reveals leadership changes and new client

Media and performance agency, Intender, has refreshed its leadership team as it wins AMES Australasia as a client.

The announcement:

Intender is entering a new chapter of growth with a refreshed leadership team and a major client win.

Following 12 months of strong momentum for the media and performance agency, co-founder & chief financial officer Morgan Ohren has been promoted to managing director and head of operations Zoe Young to general manager. Founder Phil Ohren has also updated his title from founder & strategist to CEO, formalising his leadership of the agency.

The leadership team restructure comes as Intender expands from its Noosa, Queensland base into Melbourne on the back of winning AMES Australasia and its portfolio of leading home improvement brands, including Hills, Cyclone, Nylex and Northcote Pottery.

As CEO, Phil Ohren will lead innovation and evolve Intender’s services. Morgan Ohren expands her remit to oversee HR, risk management and business stability, while Zoe Young takes charge of day-to-day operations with a focus on culture, performance and efficiency across all departments.

Phil Ohren said the agency’s Melbourne expansion was sparked by growing demand for Intender’s unique approach of combining data, media and creativity to deliver business growth through smarter media.

“This is an exciting milestone for Intender,” he said. “Our growth has been fuelled by clients who believe in our vision, and this leadership structure sets us up to scale with even greater impact. With Morgan and Zoe in these new roles, we’re building a stronger, more focused agency for the future.”

Together, the trio will drive Intender’s mission to make advertising useful, not annoying – using intent and interest data to deliver seamless, audience-first media experiences.

Morgan Ohren added: “Intender has always been a people-first business. Getting our leadership structure right – with clear responsibilities and complementary skills – means we can collaborate more effectively and play to our strengths. Together, we’re focused on building the foundations that will keep Intender resilient and thriving as we grow.”

Zoe Young said: “I’m thrilled to be part of the team steering Intender into this next exciting phase. My focus is on building a culture that inspires high performance and nurtures everyone as individuals and a collective. When our team feels supported and empowered, we create the kind of work that makes a real difference for clients.”
