iProspect appoints Marcelle Gomez as GM of Sydney office

Dentsu’s iProspect has officially announced Marcelle Gomez as the new general manager of its Sydney office.

Gomez joins the agency after three years spent consulting for a range of media companies, including Seven. Previously, she was general manager of Mediabrands’ Magna.

In her 20-year career, she has also worked at Initiative as chief implementation and investment officer, and managing director.

The appointment comes five months after Dentsu rolled Vizeum into iProspect, leading to the departure of Ashley Earnshaw and the promotion of then-MD Oliver Rapson to become CEO of the expanded agency.

“Marcelle’s track record speaks for itself,” Rapson said.

“Couple this with our new merged capabilities and I am super excited for what the future holds for the Sydney team. The market yearns for simplicity and capability and now everything is under one roof with a great leader in place. The timing is perfect.”

Gomez, who has also had stints at UM and Mediacom, added that she’s joining iProspect at a time of “transformation”.

“The opportunity to lead such a talented team and partner with a diverse range of market-leading clients was one I couldn’t miss,” she said.

“It was the right opportunity at the right time, with the right people.”
