iQIYI expands advertising opportunities to Asian communities in ANZ

China’s biggest video streaming service iQIYI has expanded its local sales partnerships in Australia and New Zealand.

The announcement:

Brands seeking to target Chinese and Asian communities across Australia and New Zealand can now access premium advertising and integrated content partnerships with iQIYI following an expansion of its local sales partnerships.

iQIYI is China’s biggest video streaming service with a global audience of over 530 million monthly active users. iQIYI International (iq.com) officially launched in ANZ in May 2021 and offers a catalogue of over 4000+ premium drama series, movies, variety shows and anime from China, Korea, Malaysia and markets across South East Asia.

Greg Tremain, who leads iQIYI’s commercial team for ANZ said, “We’ve been overwhelmed at the industry response from marketers to the growth of iQIYI in ANZ. We’ve been working closely with iQIYI globally to tailor and develop new opportunities for brands to reach and engage our highly valued Asian audiences. iQIYI will provide local support, more sophisticated targeting and the opportunity to integrate campaign messaging across the iQIYI content platform in ways not traditionally offered to brands buying Chinese media in this market”

In ANZ, iQIYI has formed a strategic sales partnership with AI marketing technology platform EternityX, who will provide advertisers the opportunity to reach Asian and Chinese communities across iQIYI via sponsorships, content integration and through their premium video network.

The partnership will leverage the depth of insights and experience that EternityX can provide to help local brands better engage Asian target audiences. The ultimate goal is to generate campaigns that are high impact, and more effective, while bringing improvements in transparency and rigor to campaigns targeting Asian and Chinese communities.

Luke Bussell, Director at EternityX AU said, “We work with brands and governments to reach Chinese-Australian communities across our premium video network and are now delighted to have partnered with iQIYI to bring a new dimension to our campaigns. Our clients are telling us they want new ways to engage with audiences, and content integration and sponsorship brings new opportunities to communicate. We've seen brands and governments place increased emphasis on talking to diverse audiences and being able to deliver compelling and effective solutions to their needs is core to EternityX AU.”

Gavin Parry, who leads the local operation of iQIYI’s global video streaming service in Australia and New Zealand, said “We’ve seen a fantastic uptake of the iQIYI International App across the region. Audience growth has been fuelled by a consistent supply of in demand, premium content being released on the platform every week and the expansion of access points for both our SVOD and AVOD customers. We’re really excited about what the platform can now offer not only audiences but those advertisers looking for better ways to engage them”

The iQIYI International App is currently available in 191 countries and accessible on iOS and Android devices, Samsung, Sony, Phillips, LG, and Apple TV, or on via desktop iQ.com.
