Isentia CFO and company secretary Nimesh Shah resigns

Media monitoring company Isentia has announced the resignation of its chief financial officer and company secretary, Nimesh Shah.

Nimesh Shah: leaving Isentia after seven years

The news comes after mixed financial results for the company – including an 11% year-on-year drop in revenue for its content marketing arm King Content – which managing director and CEO John Croll attributed to challenging market conditions.

An announced to the ASX from Isentia said Shah had been an integral part of the Isentia team for the past seven years, which included the company’s listing on the stock exchange in June 2014.

Shah joined Isentia in April 2010 after serving as global CFO for Friendster, a social networking/gaming site, for just over a year.

Previously, he was Fairfax Digital’s finance director for over seven years.

Isentia revealed Shah is leaving the company to “pursue new challenges” but said he will continue in his role for the next few months to enable a smooth transition.

Croll thanked Shah for his considerable contribution to the company and wished him the best for the future.

The board has commenced its search for Isentia’s new CFO.

12.30pm update: In early trading, ISentia shares (ASX:ISD) were priced at about $1.47, a fall of about 3% for the day, and close to the lowest point since the company floated at $2.36 in 2014.
