‘I’ve not been this excited about Mamamia in years’: Mia Freedman on website refresh

Women’s network Mamamia has changed its logo and updated its website with the promise to focus on mobile features.

Mia Freedman, the website’s founder, said she hadn’t been this excited about Mamamia in years.

According to a post on Mamamia, the new “fully thumb-led redesign” and mobile-friendly features will allow users to scroll vertically and slide horizontally to “dive deep into your faves”.

On Facebook, Freedman said: “Lots of changes. I like changes! I’ve not been this excited about Mamamia in years. Watch this space and tell me what you think of our new brand look and feel.”

The refreshed website is “an astonishing 12-times faster” and will make Mamamia podcasts and “original viral videos” easier to find.

“Mamamia nerds who have been with us since the beginning (10 years!) could tell you that this is the 7th major new-look Mamamia – and each time it’s been a significant upgrade that makes life better for our audience,” the post explaining the redesign said.

The redesign was created by women’s communications agency BROAD.
