Triple J has unveiled the nominees of the 2016 J Awards.

The announcement:

The J Awards are the pinnacle of triple j’s Ausmusic Month and a chance to highlight the outstanding musical talent of the artists in our own backyard.

Now in its 12th year, the J Awards honour the very best Australian artists, from those exciting acts just beginning to forge their musical careers, to the musicians making ground breaking bodies of work and accomplishing career highlights. Nominees are celebrated for their originality, creativity and technical excellence, as well as their innovative video representations.
