Jac Taylor named editor of Morris Media’s Vacations and Travel

Morris Media Network, the publisher of Vacations and Travel magazine, has appointed Jac Taylor as the new editor of the title, which is celebrating its 36th year.

The magazine successfully relaunched in 2019 and Taylor will be tasked with continuing its high standard of editorial and innovation in the outbound travel sector.

Morris Media Australia managing director, Colin Ritchie, said they were excited to welcome Taylor to the team.

“We are excited to have Jac on board to further drive the success we have seen in the market recently and are confident she can lead the creative direction and contribute to the commercial future of the publication.”

Taylor has spent 14 years as a travel and lifestyle media specialist and editorial contractor. During her career, she has worked with titles including Australian Traveller, International Traveller, Mindfood, AWOL, the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age and Marie Claire.

Taylor is an established writer, photographer, videographer and public speaker and has a specific interest in native and branded content, having worked with clients including News Corp Australia and Tourism Australia.

Taylor said she was thrilled to take on the new challenge.

“It is a real thrill to take the editor’s chair here at Vacations and Travel,” said Taylor.

“I thoroughly look forward to meeting the exceptional standard set by those before me, and am excited by the potential offered by such an outstanding brand.”
