James Bond’s SPECTRE takes more than $11.3m to post fourth highest opening of year

The latest instalment in the James Bond series SPECTRE took a mammoth $11.3m on its opening three days at the Australian box office.

It is the fourth highest grossing opening of 2015, well behind Jurassic World’s $16m, and $1m down on the last Bond film Skyfall which was out in November 2012.

The 24th in the Bond series opened on 618 screens and took more than five times the second placed film The Dressmaker. Including previews it has already grossed $12m.
