The announcement:

Flashtalking, the leading global independent platform for ad management, data-driven creative, and unified insights, today announced the appointment of James Whitbread as its JAPAC Sales Director.

Whitbread brings with him over 17 years’ media experience across various ad tech, digital and programmatic digital out-of-home (DOOH) businesses, where he has worked with major brands and agencies.

In his new role at Flashtalking, he will be responsible for driving revenue by developing strategic solutions for clients and agencies using Flashtalking’s suite of ad management and analytics capabilities. He will work with advertisers, agencies and ad tech partners to increase sales, ensure more effective deployment of ad spend, and improve operational efficiency in markets across the JAPAC region – including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Japan, Indonesia, along with Australia and New Zealand.

“James is extremely experienced within the digital space and has extensive knowledge when it comes to providing verification and dynamic creative optimisation (DCO) solutions for clients,” said Georgia Brammer, JAPAC Regional Director at Flashtalking. “We know his qualities will be essential in driving adoption of data driven attribution and personalisation across emerging and growing JAPAC markets.”

Before joining Flashtalking, Whitbread was Programmatic Director AUNZ at DoubleVerify, where he played a leading role in the digital media measurement and analytics platform’s expansion into the Australian and New Zealand markets. He was responsible for managing accounts with major clients across various sectors, and for spearheading a number of product launches focused on brand safety and fraud avoidance, as well as contextual and viewability targeting. Whitbread is also a DCO specialist, thanks to his previous role at programmatic digital marketing company Crimtan.

Commenting on his appointment, James Whitbread said: “I am delighted to be joining Georgia and the Flashtalking team at such a key stage of their JAPAC, Australia and New Zealand expansion plans. As we move into a world where cross-device, people-based marketing is essential, many industry leaders across the region are stressing the importance of investing in sophisticated ad tech stacks which allow for seamless integrations with multiple partners. As the number one independent ad server, the new privacy-friendly world has enhanced the opportunity for growth at Flashtalking – as the platform makes connecting media and creative with relevant customers uncomplicated yet sophisticated.”
