Jeep launches competition to WFH in Tasmanian wilderness

Jeep is embracing the working from home culture and giving Australians the chance to work in one of the most remote places in the country.

The brand has constructed a custom-built office pod in the north west coast of Tasmania on a pocket of coastal land, only accessible by 4×4 vehicles designed for off-road terrain. Australians can enter a competition to win a stay at the office pod and work from far from home.

“Many Aussies believe that being able to work from their kitchen table is the new definition of freedom,” said Rachel Semmens, senior marketing manager at Jeep Australia.

“But when you own a Jeep, the possibilities for truly remote working are unlimited.”

The structure was built by Spacecube, a specialist brand in portable modular infrastructure. The pod boasts full Wi-Fi connectivity, climate control, solar powered electricity and plumbing. The winner of the stay will also be loaned a Jeep Gladiator as a complimentary work car.

The campaign comes from Cummins & Partners and launches with TVCs, produced by NB Content, and Jeep Ambassador Hayden Quinn appearing on Tuesday night’s episode of The Project to report on the remote location of the pod. The campaign also spans a partnership with Realestate.com.au.

Adam Slater, associate creative director at Cummins & Partners, said: “From the wildlife to the weather, installing a structure of this kind in such a hostile and remote environment posed plenty of challenges for cast and crew. But at least the vehicles were right at home.”
