Jim Moser steps down as Clemenger BBDO New Zealand CEO for wider group role

Clemenger BBDO New Zealand’s CEO of 10 years, Jim Moser, has stepped down to become the CEO of Clemenger Marketing Services.

Replacing Moser is Jim Gall, the founder and CEO of Melbourne-based agency Redhanded Communications, an agency which Clemenger purchased four years ago.

Moser is stepping down as CEO

Gall is also the chairman of Marketforce, another agency in the wider Clemenger Group. He is set to move to New Zealand after commencing his new role on November 1.

Robert Morgan, executive chairman of the Clemenger Group, said in a statement: “Jim Moser has done a fantastic job leading our extremely strong and diverse New Zealand operations. New Zealand accounts for about 30% of our Group profits and an even greater share of our creative reputation.

“New Zealand punches well above its weight on both counts. In his time in New Zealand, Jim Moser has made many friends and business contacts and has been a great coach and leader across our businesses.”

In Moser’s new role he will now lead the marketing for all the Australian Clemenger Group companies other than CHE Proximity, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Clemenger BBDO Sydney.

Meanwhile, Redhanded’s managing director Lachlan Drummond will take the helm of the agency and replace Gall as its CEO.
