Jo & Lehmo to leave Melbourne’s Gold 104.3 FM breakfast show
ARN has confirmed this morning Melbourne’s Gold 104.3 FM breakfast hosts Jo Stanley and Anthony ‘Lehmo’ Lehmann will not be returning to the network in 2018.
In a notice this morning, ARN said they had not renewed the contracts for breakfast hosts Stanley and Lehmann, who have worked as co-hosts since 2015.
Stanley joined the Gold FM breakfast show in November of 2015, replacing radio veteran Brigitte Duclos on what was previously the Brig & Lehmo show.
Prior to joining Gold FM, Stanley was well known for her breakfast show with Matt Tilley, who was recently axed from ARN’s Kiis network.
In the most recent survey, Jo & Lehmo improved 0.7 points from last survey’s share of 7.7% to 8.4%, making them the most listened to Melbourne FM breakfast show.
The duo started the year with a 6.2% share, but have seen incremental growth each survey.
ARN’s nation content director Duncan Campbell thanked Stanley and Lehmann for their time with the network.
“Jo & Lehmo are professional, talented and entertaining broadcasters who have made a significant contribution to GOLD 104.3 over their time with the station,” Campbell said.
Lehmann and Stanley will remain on air until the end of the year, with the replacements yet to be announced.
The duo’s departure is part of a number of changes for ARN in 2018. In October, ARN’s Kiis FM announced Perth breakfast hosts Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw as the station’s new drive show, and New Zealand duo Polly ‘PJ’ Harding and Jase Hawkins as hosts of Kiis101.1 FM’s Melbourne breakfast program.
First ARN led by Duncan Campbell loses Kate & Hughsey the #1 Drive Show in Sydney and strong performer nationally – now they let go of Jo & Lehmo #1 in Melbourne breakfast – what the….!
Campbell is a great asset for SCA & Nova ….keep it up Duncan

of course they will go to another station. just a merry go round. Stanley and Tilley got too big for their boots and thought they were special. should have stayed with Fox.

How are listeners expected to build brand loyalty when station management continues to treat them and their staff with such contempt. Commercial radio continues to shoot itself in the foot with staff and brand changes, yet a quick to blame a variety of external factors for their “tough environment”.
