Joan Warner steps down as CEO of Commercial Radio Australia after 20 years

Commercial Radio Australia’s (CRA) chief executive officer, Joan Warner, will depart the radio industry body in early 2022, after a stint of over two decades.

A search for a replacement will begin immediately, with Warner revealing she intended to depart CRA at the end of the calendar year, but agreed to stay on through the first quarter of 2022 at the request of the board.

She said: “While I informed the CRA Board some time ago of my intention to step down at 31 December 2021, the board requested, and I agreed, to remain as CEO to 31 March 2022 to allow the company to undertake a comprehensive and far-reaching search for a replacement.
