Job firm Indeed expands ad campaign to cinema with tie up with The Avengers
US job site Indeed.com has followed up last November’s inaugural Australian ad campaign by expanding its marketing to cinema, with a new TV ad also set for launch.
The creative, produced by Indeed’s global ad agency Mullen, continues its ‘how the world works’ theme with the ad showing at cinemas from now until May 14.
The brand said it has cinema “domination” across The Avengers movie from the April 23 to 30 with lobby panels in cinema foyers also running until mid next month.
The ad demonstrates ‘how animation work’ and shows a giant animated character initially saving a city from disaster, before letting a boulder obliterate the buildings.
A TV version with voiceover will air from later this year.
The move into cinema continues Indeed’s Australian push as the brand looks to build its awareness locally and take market share from Seek.com.au.
A TV led campaign launched late last year with Mullen president Kristen Cavallo saying the creative looked to “highlight and celebrate” the many jobs involved in putting a TV commercial together.
She said it also wanted to move away from the historically “depressing” ads in the job market.
“Given the average person has more than eight jobs in their lifetime – the better the job, the better the life. That’s an optimists’ message,” she sad. “Yet the advertising in this category hasn’t changed much since 1999, depressed people in depressing jobs.
“Indeed is committed to positively revolutionising the recruiting landscape and celebrating every hire, through the most ingenious technology platform. They are a breath of fresh air, a challenger, fully aware of the opportunity before them.”
