Jobs lost as True Local restructures
News Ltd is likely to make a number of redundancies at its directory business True Local.
A spokesman for News Ltd told Mumbrella: “We are in a period of consultation.”
Declining to disclose how many positions will be lost, the spokesman said that efforts would be made to find roles in other parts of the business but that redundancies were “an unfortunate reality”.
Tim Burrowes founded Mumbrella in 2008. He worked on Mumbrella until 2021. At various points he was editor, content director and editor-at-large.

Having myself been made redundant by News Ltd, i feel sorry for the True local team and feel the line “that efforts would be made to find roles in other parts of the business” is easy to say but the reality is is rarely happens
