John Lam promoted to creative director at JWT Sydney

John Lam, the associate creative director of JWT Sydney, has been promoted to creative director.

The announcement:

JWT Sydney has promoted John Lam, previously associate creative director and group head on Nestle, to the position of creative director.

In his new role, Lam will have a broader remit across all of the accounts and be responsible for mentoring of young talent. Executive creative directors Angus Hennah and Mark Harricks announced the promotion this week.

“Johnnie has been a real asset to JWT for a long time now and it’s only right that we recognise the contribution he’s made to the place,” said Hennah.

Harricks added: “Since I’ve come on board I’ve been impressed with John’s enthusiasm for the work and the culture of the place – he leads by example.”

Lam said he was excited about the opportunity to broaden his responsibilities. “And, if I can go some way to inspire the young creatives coming up, I’ll be happy,” he said.
