Aussie entries in print miss out, Whybin\TBWA Sydney grabs Gold in Outdoor

Australia had no joy in the print category, following six Australian campaigns being shortlisted in the category at Spikes Asia.

Four Grand Prix’s were awarded in the category to Y&R Beijing for four separate executions for Penguin China.

Overall, 12 different Australian executions from half a dozen different campaigns had been shortlisted, including work for Volkswagen from DDB Sydney, Nissan for Whybin\TBWA Melbourne, Ogilvy Melbourne for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and Meerkats for Lotterywest.

None of the Australian work has been on display in the Print exhibition during the Spikes Asia festival.

Australian agencies did fare a little better in the outdoor category, however with Whybin\TBWA Sydney grabbing Gold for the Christchurch Repaired with Gold campaign for Christchurch and Canterbury Tourism.

Whybin\TBWA Melbourne picked up a Silver Spike and a Bronze Spike for its ANZ GayTMs while Leo Burnett Sydney took home a Silver Spike for its Safe Driving Program for Samsung’s S-Drive.

GPY&R Sydney grabbed three Bronze Spikes for separate executions for its Staples Hype Highlighters campaign.
