Junior Masterchef slides to 770,000 as The Farmer Wants A Wife finale pulls over 1m

Junior Masterchef dropped to 770,000 last night as the top 20 contestants moved to the Masterchef kitchen while at the same time on Nine, a group of Aussie farmers chose their favourite women on the finale of The Farmer Wants A Wife.

The 90-minute program saw five of the six male farmers ‘find love’ and also featured a wedding of a contestant from a previous series. The episode, which ran from 7pm to 8:30 received an audience of 1.058 million, according to preliminary metro ratings from OzTam.  

The fourth episode of Junior Masterchef at 7:30 was its lowest audience this season. It debuted last week with 1.129 million. Undercover Boss Australia also slipped back with just 578,000.

The return of The Mentalist was Nine’s highest rating program for the night with 1.070 million.
