Junkee refreshes website to highlight video and other Junkee Media channels

Junkee Media’s Junkee.com has refreshed its website in an effort to highlight videos and aggregate content on the website’s home page.

The make-over has seen the launch of a ‘Junkee Original Series’ section containing new video, written or native content series commissioned by Junkee.

The website’s homepage has been refurnished to display featured content and include the aggregation of content from other Junkee Media channels which include: inthemix.com, FasterLouder.com.au, AWOL.com.au and TheCusp.com.au.

Infinite scroll across features for desktop and mobile will be implemented to assist with content accessibility, while featured content will be displayed more prominently on the homepage.

Junkee Media still operates as a stand alone enterprise after Ooh Media bought 85% of the company earlier this year in an “end to end” strategy.

Clearskin, the proprietary content management system has, however, been modified to enable ‘off-platform’ content distribution to Ooh Media’s out-of-home digital screen media.

Neil Ackland, CEO at Junkee Media, said: “Video is a key focus for us and we’ve invested significantly in creating original video content which has generated over 120m video views in 12 months.

“So when designing the new website it was important to give our original video content the brevity it deserves,” he said.
