Jurassic World remake keeps Incredibles 2 at bay at weekend box office

Last week’s box office leaders Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Incredibles 2 kept their places as the most popular movies in Australia last weekend.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom took another $6.124m in its second week, having earned $10.272 million on its first weekend at the box office, while Incredibles 2 held second position having taken another $4.393m in its third week since its return 14 years after the original animated feature.

Making their debuts last weekend were animated kids movie Hotel Transylvania: A Monster Vacation and narco thriller, Sicario: Day of the Soldado which took third places with $2.351m and $1.188m respectively, putting Ocean’s 8 into fifth place with $1.096m takings for its fourth week.

Still holding on in the top 10 list last weekend was Deadpool 2, now in its seventh week, which took $220,000 and horror mystery Hereditary which made $173,000 in its fourth weekend on screens.
