JWT Melbourne hires Josie Brown from P&G to run digital

JWT Melbourne has appointed Procter & Gamble Australia and New Zealand’s digital head Josie Brown to run its digital department.

Brown joins with a brief to help “transform the business” of all of JWT’s clients – including Kraft, Chemmart and the federal government – through technology, social engagement and digital commerce.

JWT Melbourne’s MD Michael Godwin, said: “I’ve been listening to advertisers express their frustration over agencies’ inability to help them build a digital road map for their business, being more focused on tactical execution and campaign extension. So I’m pleased to offer our clients the services of one of Australia’s best digital marketing professionals.”

“Having been exposed to many agencies across the region over the past few years, I’ve been really impressed by JWT’s ability to integrate digital within a single, holistic communications framework,” said Brown. “I’m excited by the prospect of helping take this to the next level.”

Prior to P&G, Brown was client services director at Sputnik.
