JWT Sydney joint-ECD Angus Hennah exits, Mark Harricks takes creative control

Leaving after 3 years with JWT Sydney: Angus Hennah

JWT Sydney’s joint executive creative director Angus Hennah is leaving the agency.

Hennah, who joined JWT Sydney from JWT Auckland in 2009, is returning to his native New Zealand. A departure date has yet to be confirmed.

His exit leaves Mark Harricks in sole control of JWT Sydney’s creative department. Harricks joined JWT as joint ECD in January of last year from DDB Sydney.

JWT Australia and New Zealand CEO John Gutteridge said in a statement: “Angus and I have spoken about his desire to head home for some time. He’s made a significant impression during his time with JWT in both Australia and New Zealand and he leaves with our very best wishes.”

Hennah said: “I know Harricks will do a fantastic job flying solo and my only regret is that we won’t be able to spend more time working together. It’s been a rewarding five years with JWT but it’s time to face some new challenges.”

Before joining JWT Auckland in 2007, Hennah worked at Clemenger BBDO Wellington. He also had a stint as a copywriter at Clems Sydney.
