JWT to lead Department of Foreign Affairs’ Smartraveller rebrand
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has appointed WPP AUNZ’s J. Walter Thompson Sydney to lead and develop a new brand strategy for its travel advisory and consular assistance service, Smartraveller in a deal worth over $75,000.
Paul Everson, Managing Director, J. Walter Thompson Sydney said: “We are thrilled to be leading the new brand strategy for Smartraveller and supporting the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s commitment to encouraging safe travel by Australians overseas.”
“This is the first time the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has considered a strategy for the Smartraveller brand beyond the Smartraveller logo,” a DFAT spokesperson told Mumbrella.
“The brand strategy will partly inform the next Smartraveller advertising campaign phase currently under development.”
