Kaspersky Lab sponsors Manly Sea Eagles
NRL team Manly Sea Eagles has signed Russian IT security firm Kaspersky Lab as a new sponsor.
The Kaspersky Lab logo will appear on the front of the Sea Eagles jersey for the first time in Sunday’s Brookvale Oval match with South Sydney, which is to be broadcast on Nine.
“It is a partnership that will assist the Kaspersky Lab product to get instant recognition in Australia,” Sea Eagles chairman Scott Penn said.
The partnership is to run for the remainder of this season and for season 2012, with an option to continue long term.
“As a global business we actively look for ways to leverage our presence in different markets,” MD of Kaspersky Lab Asia-Pacific Harry Cheung said. “The Manly Sea Eagle’s sponsorship is part of Kaspersky continued aggressive approach to the Australia market.”
Surely everyone knows them from sponsoring the mighty Dees!?
A lot more people would see the logo on that jersey than some lame NRL game.
But then, the Demons do have a bye this weekend so maybe it’s for the best.

I use kaspersky and it works, especially with kids using the net!!
But you need to pause it when doing iPhone software updates or they will fail. Took me 4 months to sort that issue out!!!

Mumbrella – there hasn’t been much sport and sponsor related coverage in the past. Will/can we see more now?
