Kate & Co appoints Kate Evans as group account director
Public relations agency Kate & Co has employed Kate Evans as group account director in Melbourne.
Evans was responsible for launching the Uniqlo brand in Australia and has previously held national PR manager roles at Sportsgirl and Target.
The agency has also appointed two new account co-ordinators: Elif Yilmaz in Melbourne, and Isabella Cummins in Sydney.
In addition, the agency has had a number of internal shuffles, with Melinda Griffith moving to account director in Melbourne, Jennifer Norris becoming account manager in Sydney, and Morgan Haynes being promoted to account executive in Melbourne.
Kate & Co’s talent management arm, The Co Collective, also welcomed Sarah Yarwood into a permanent talent manager role.
Kate Keane, managing director of the agency said of the appointments: “We are thrilled to welcome Kate, Elif and Isabella to our team. We take great pride in hiring results-driven, personable PR professionals that reflect our agency culture and these three appointments certainly embody this.”
The agency works with clients including San Pellegrino, Witchery, Spotlight Group and Dee Why RSL – which has recently been generating negative headlines for its gambling practices and actions towards problem gamblers. Mumbrella understands, however, that Sefiani runs the crisis communications for Dee Why RSL.

Pure nameism at its worse. She’d never have got the job if the agency if it were called Gertrude and Co,
