Kate Smither promoted to Publicis Communications’ chief strategy integration officer

Publicis Communications has promoted Saatchi & Saatchi’s Kate Smither to chief strategy integration officer of Publicis Communications.

Smither was previously the chief strategy officer at Saatchi & Saatchi for nearly three years.

In her new role, Smither will also work as the strategy lead on the Campbell Arnott’s account, which Publics Groupe won the creative, media and PR account for in March.

Replacing Smither is Marcel Sydney’s Iona Macgregor. Macgregor was formerly the chief strategy officer at Marcel Sydney and Publicis Australia for over two years.

Marcel Sydney’s strategy director, Clinton Duncan, will now lead the strategy department at the agency.

Macgregor’s promotion comes three months after Marcel’s CEO Gavin Levinsohn departed and the agency lost its biggest account, Tiger Beer.

Marcel also saw the departure of its head of production, Holly Alexander, who moved to CHE Proximity as its director of strategic production.
