Kate Vale joins board of Undertow Media

Spotify Australia MD Kate Vale has joined the board of Undertow Media, while its parent group Bastion has also acquired creative and content agency The Stadium.

The release: Bastion Group, Australia’s fastest growing communications collective, today illustrated the rapid expansion of the firm with the acquisition of a creative & content agency The Stadium, launch of a social media analysis centre, Bastion Amplify and a new board appointment to Undertow Media: Spotify Managing Director ANZ Kate Vale.

Kate Vale is widely recognised as one of the country’s most influential digital experts and joins the board of Undertow Media (the strategic communications arm of Bastion Group) in an advisory, non-executive role. Vale’s name is synonymous with digital growth. She joined Google as their very firstAustralian employee as Head of Sales and Operations Australia / New Zealand in 2002, and later became the Head of YouTube, Australia / New Zealand.

Currently Managing Director of Spotify Australia / New Zealand, Vale joins Undertow Media to further support the firm as it continues to enhance its digital offering across its Australasian offices.
