Keep Left appoints Gillian Yeap as CEO

Public relations agency Keep Left has appointed Gillian Yeap as its new CEO as the company’s founder, Caroline Catterall switches focus.

New CEO Gillian Yeap and former CEO Caroline Catterall

Yeap joined the agency in 2009 as a group account director, a role she held for five years. She then continued to climb the ranks as a principal and strategy director for almost two years.

Most recently Yeap was a director and company secretary, ending her role earlier this month to become chief executive officer.

Catterall – founder and former CEO of Keep Left – is set to move into a different role within the agency as executive director focusing on content marketing.

Catteral opened the business in 2001 and has been the CEO for over 15 years.

Yeap said: “This move will allow us to keep the core business solid, while Caroline focuses on developing our capability in content marketing, exploring new tools and technologies and establishing relevant partnerships that will help future-proof the agency.

“The launch of our content production studio has been game-changing for the agency and for our clients, and we’re keen to continue innovating with our creative and digital services.”

In other appointments, Sarah Robertson has been promoted to strategy and marketing manager from senior account manager.

Brooke Stephenson has been appointed as marketing co-ordinator while Elena Goh is set to become the finance and operations manager.

The hires come after Keep Left made expansions to its content production team earlier this month.
