Keep Left PR appoints Carrie Morgan as social media strategist

Keep Left PR has promoted Carrie Morgan to social media strategist.

The announcement:

Keep Left has appointed Carrie Morgan to the role of Social Media Strategist to drive the agency’s continued focus on online and digital communications.

Keep Left Managing Director, Caroline Siler, said that while social media has been a capability of the agency for over two years, the decision had been made to have a full time resource focused on it.

“You are only as good as your last creative idea, and we want to remain at the forefront of what’s happening in the social media and digital communications arena.  Having Carrie focused full-time on social media will be of great value to the agency and our clients.”

Carrie was instrumental in the establishment of Crust Gourmet Pizza Bars’ social media strategy in 2009 and the creation of award-winningFree Pizza Friday micro-blogging campaign. After providing community management services for over a year, Keep Left has recently handed this over to an internal team at Crust.

She will lead a team of community managers and blogger outreach specialists, and work closely with a number of independent digital agencies across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Carrie’s appointment comes as Keep Left continues to grow its social media portfolio with hockingstuart and Blackmores recently awarding briefs to the agency ranging from social media strategy development to blogger outreach.

Leading Melbourne real-estate agency hockingstuart has engaged Keep Left and Melbourne digital agency Reactive to implement a social media strategy, with a focus on Facebook. hockingstuart plans to use the Facebook page to position itself as a ‘local authority’ with clients as well as profile its key agents.

Keep Left will work alongside Reactive on the development and creative execution of hockingstuart’s social media strategy, with Reactive responsible for the design and all technical elements of the project while Keep Left will drive online video production, the content strategy and community management.

Keep Left has also recently completed an online campaign for natural health company Blackmores.

“We’re excited to be working with a wide range of clients to establish and grow a meaningful presence in social media. Helping our clients navigate the social media and blogger landscape is a natural extension of our communications capabilities, and an area I’m excited to be driving at Keep Left,” Carrie said.
