Kellie Hush announced as Grazia editor

kellie hush graziaSydney Morning Herald fashion editor Kellie Hush is the new editor of Grazia, ACP has announced.

Her appointment follows the departure of editor-in-chief Alison Veness-McGourty.

Grazia, a weekly fashion glossy licenced from Italian publisher Mondadori, has struggled to maintain its modest launch target of 70,000. In the last set of Audit Bureau of Circulations data its sales fell to 55,000 – down 17.6% on the same time the previous year.

ACP MD Phil Scott said: “I am delighted to announce Kellie as our new Editor of Grazia. She is highly respected in the industry and her strong fashion background combined with her experience in newspapers as well as weekly and monthly magazine titles makes her perfect for the job.”

Hush was fashion editor for the SMH for four years. Before that she was deputy editor of Harpers Bazaar and executive editor of Who magazine.

She also wrote the non-fiction book My Body After Baby.

Hush said: “Editing Grazia is a dream come true. I’m really looking forward to starting the new role and making the magazine even more of a success in the Australian market.”
