Kellogg’s rolls out AFLW campaign ahead of 2019 season bounce

Kellogg’s has launched a campaign featuring a young Australian rules football hopeful and AFLW star Moana Hope ahead of the competition’s launch this weekend.

The campaign features 13-year-old Kensley Ward meeting her sports idol after she wrote to a letter to the AFLW star about her dream to one day play in the league.

The campaign, Special K Strong Play, is part of the brand’s sponsorship of the AFL Women’s competition and aimed at providing a platform for the next generation of female players to find the strength to express themselves.

Marketing director of Kellogg’s Australia New Zealand, Tamara Howe, said “We were moved to hear that Kensley, an aspiring AFLW player, had written a letter to her hero and Special K ambassador, Moana Hope, and jumped at the chance to help bring the two together.

“As an iconic brand in households all over the country, Special K has the privilege to inspire and enable Australian girls and women to live life at full strength and see out their ambitions, in this case the next generation of AFLW players.”
