Key Media launches Australasian Lawyer

Key Media has launched Australasian Lawyer, a website for the legal profession in Australia and New Zealand following its acquisition and relaunch of NZLawyer in New Zealand.

The announcement:

Multi-national media company Key Media has today launched Australasian Lawyer, a new website for the legal profession in Australia. This follows the company’s recent acquisition and re-launch of NZLawyer in New Zealand.

Australasian Lawyer will provide a daily online news service supported by an e-newsletter, delivering breaking news and updates to the largest database of legal professionals in Australia. In addition to real-time content, Australasian Lawyer also includes features such as multimedia pieces and interviews, special reports and research, plus an interactive forum where readers can engage in direct discussion with their peers.

The launch of Australasian Lawyer is the first step towards building a comprehensive product offering for the legal community in Australia. This will include a high-level print publication launching in April that will cater to partners and general counsel, together with an awards event later in the year that will recognise the best individuals and firms in the industry.

Key Media’s managing director for Australia and New Zealand Justin Kennedy said the launch of Australasian Lawyer was an exciting step in the company’s continued growth.

“We’re pleased to return to the legal market with the acquisition of NZLawyer and now the launch of Australasian Lawyer. We have a great track record in building a portfolio of market-leading magazines, websites and events in key business verticals and our plan is to deliver a unique and engaging offering to the legal industry.”

“We look forward to Australasian Lawyer and NZLawyer serving as key business resources for the legal profession in Australia and New Zealand.”
