The announcement:

Komosion, the highly respected Australian consultancy known for its expertise in customer-centric strategy and digital innovation, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Johnson as general manager.

Ms Johnson brings a wealth of experience from the fiercely competitive travel and hospitality sectors where she has carved out a distinguished career. Her track record includes:

  • Marketing Strategy and Operations: Managing these for Travel Associates and Flight Centre brands in Australia, driving growth and brand recognition.
  • Digital Development Leadership: Overseeing marketing and digital development for all Flight Centre leisure brands in the UK, enhancing their digital presence and customer engagement; and
  • Growth Leadership: Leading marketing for Spicers Retreats, significantly contributing to its expansion to 10 properties and its subsequent acquisition by the diversified global investment management firm, Salter Brothers.

As general manager at Komosion, Ms Johnson will oversee client engagement, lead consulting projects, ensure service delivery excellence, and build relationships with strategic partners. She will collaborate closely with Komosion’s founder, John O’Neill, in a partnership-style leadership model.

“Sue’s background spans marketing operations, service and customer experience design and the management of digital applications and channels,” said Mr O’Neill. “I’m excited to think about what we will be able to achieve together for our clients.”

Ms Johnson said: “I’ve worked with Komosion as a client over the years and so I know, first-hand, the transformational impact their work can have. “I’m looking forward to being part of that change for our clients.”

“I’m also passionate about the lifestyle, learning and public sectors within which the company specialises – they marry well with my personal values as reflected in my Board work in the travel and not-for-profit sectors.”

Komosion was founded in 2009 and its clients have included News Corporation Australia, David Jones, Tabcorp, Nestle, ANZ, Sydney Opera House, Flight Centre, Accor, InterContinental Hotels Group and an array of Universities, Financial institutions and Commonwealth, State and local government agencies.
