Kylie Minogue wins Grammy for Australia

Kylie Minogue has taken out the Best Pop Dance Recording Grammy for her juggernaut single Padam Padam.

Minogue beats out a crowded field for the award, including David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Bebe Rexha, and fellow Aussie Troye Sivan. This is the first time this category has featured at the Grammys.

Padam Padam was the lead single from Minogue’s 16th studio album, Tension, and also won Best Pop Release at last year’s ARIA Awards, as well as becoming her first Top 20 hit in Australia since All The Lovers in 2010.

Minogue has been nominated for six Grammys throughout her career, and this marks her second win, following her 2004 nod for Best Dance Recording, for Come Into My World.

Minogue posted the below video of the moment she found out she’d won – naturally, while in a hotel robe.
