Latest ads: St George celebrates thumbs; Bought a Jeep, lost a mate; Coles hunts grads

Mumbrella presents a wrap up of a few of the latest ads to appear on our screens in recent days.

Jeep subtly celebrates its tie up with AFL club Richmond in this spot about a man left without a best mate to watch the game with, after he ‘bought a Jeep’.

Have you ever stopped to appreciate quite how great your thumbs are? Now St George has done it for you with these unusual ads starring dressed-up thumbs, to promote its new services including cardless cash and approved banking.

Optus hunts for the ‘typical Australian family’ in this ad about families being able to pool their mobile data to “make the most of every drop”. M&C Saatchi handles the main Optus account, while The Works handles retail.

Coles is taking on ten times more graduate trainees than usual this year, and who better to tell you about it than celebrity chef and brand ambassador Curtis Stone to tell you about it. Coles’ agency of record is Big Red.

‘Spring is in the air’ according to this NAB credit card ad, which urges people to have a financial ‘spring clean’ to avoid feeling the squeeze with credit card charges. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne is NAB’s agency of record.
